Tomorrow’s opportunity set does not look like today’s portfolio. Our research shows a widening gap between where institutional capital is currently concentrated and where investors expect the strongest opportunities to emerge. The clearest example is digital and AI infrastructure: 23% report significant current exposure, while 65% identify it as globally attractive over the next three years. Defence, transportation infrastructure and critical minerals also show meaningful gaps between current ownership and future interest. The finding points to a broader shift: investors are not simply rotating between sectors—they are positioning for a new investment cycle shaped by infrastructure, technology and strategic capacity.
