Learn video editing in the right order

You have watched enough tutorials. The problem was never access, it was order. The LevelUp Video Editing Academy is a 12-week live online cohort, and every week is built on the one before it. Week 1 you learn how the cohort runs. Week 2 split screen editing. Week 3 design essentials and asset libraries. Week 4 conceptualisation and storyboarding, which is where most self-taught editors have never been trained. Week 5 a full YouTube long form edit. Week 6 sound design and Photoshop. Week 8 colour grading. Weeks 9 to 11 After Effects from basics through to high retention motion work. Week 12 you finish with a competition and a showreel. Sessions are live on weekends with daily mentor access on Discord, so you are never stuck on a problem for a week waiting for the next class. Around 5 to 6 hours a week including assignments and feedback. Every project is a real brief, so the portfolio builds as you go instead of being bolted on at the end. You will work in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop, plus the AI tools working editors now use day to day. Visual storytelling and motion design come first. Tools come second, because tools are the easy part. Entry is by application and a one on one interview, and the cohort is capped. Fee is ₹40,000, with a ₹5,000 scholarship granted on selection bringing it to ₹35,000, and EMI and no cost EMI are available.
