What turns an attractive market into one where institutional capital can actually deploy? New research from the CPP Investments Insights Institute examines how global investors evaluate markets and what moves capital from interest to investment. Drawing on a survey of 65 senior investment professionals across 20 countries, representing approximately US$47 trillion in assets under management, the findings point to a consistent theme: opportunity matters, but opportunity alone is not enough. Investors also look for predictability, scale, credible execution and structures that allow capital to deploy.
