The Qin Dynasty of China: Much like the Nandas, the Qin overthrew a fragmented feudal system, relied on a powerful military, implemented heavy taxation, and created a highly centralized, bureaucratic state. Also, like the Nandas, the Qin were ruthless and short-lived, paving the way for a much greater empire (the Han Dynasty in China, similar to the Mauryan Empire in India).
