If the MENA creative scene ever called for an investment portfolio, it might look something like this. The worlds of food, fashion, hospitality, lifestyle and entertainment all came together to mark the launch of Creative Holding, a new investment platform putting capital behind the authentic businesses and brands shaping the way we live, eat, dress and spend our time, with a view to taking them regional and even global. At award-winning restaurant Esca Cueva, the platform brought together a who’s-who of entrepreneurs, creatives, business leaders and familiar faces from across the region, with Cairo at the heart of it. Founded by Mohamed Talaat Khalifa, Creative Holding’s focus spans four areas: food and culinary experiences, hospitality, fashion and retail, and lifestyle and entertainment, with plans to back and partner with authentic brands and companies. The ambition extends beyond writing cheques, however. With a presence across Cairo, Abu Dhabi and Milan, Creative Holding is looking to pair investment with expertise, brand building and international connections, backing businesses with the potential to take their operations to the next stage across MENA and beyond.
