I had a herniated disc pressing on my sciatic nerve for years and I didn’t even know it. It has been the toughest year of my life. 9/10 pain sleeping and in the morning, I was not able to walk properly until the afternoon (body seemed to warm up) , I thought I would never recover… I'm 50, and in generally good shape, but I had developed a severe case of sciatica. I had huge pain walking and in the morning struggled to put on my shoes and socks. I was stuck with this searing pain down my calf/ankle/foot after standing. I had been to chiropractors and had MRIs of my C-Spine (stenosis diagnosis). I then started trying to use foam rollers on a mat, which did not really help either. What finally helped me, completely by accident, was simply laying down flat on this back massager my wife bought for herself. It felt amazing, and I started doing this instead of foam rolling, which I have essentially stopped completely at this point. All I do is lay flat on it and let it work. It uses 3 therapies in one. Traction, infrared heat and target-point massage. Actually, my doctor said later this is the best thing I could try for sciatica. He explained that foam rollers only aggravate sciatica, rather than providing relief. Putting pressure directly on the spine with anything at all is counterproductive, he said. Because pressure from bulging discs is the root cause of the nerve pain to begin with. This does the exact opposite. It takes all the pressure off the pinched nerve by using traction to open up the spine. Traction forms a curve under your lower back which basically separates the vertebrae and gives the nerve space. Then heat helps the disc rehydrate and builds their height back. And target-point massage retrains the muscles to hold your back from collapsing right back down. My tingling has been gone for a year since starting this. I feel like my posture is far better. I can do sports again (especially golf). I don't even think about it when putting on my shoes and socks. I also had pretty significant Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), which has (mostly) dissipated. And I’ve stopped taking pills for sleeping. It’s easy for me now that the pain is gone. I'm no longer afraid of twisting or rolling the wrong way. There’s no wrong way anymore. My nerve is healed. Btw I’d been seeing their ads on fb for months. But I never thought to buy one because I’ve heard of too many scams out there. That was a mistake. Thank God, my wife decided to give it a try. Might be worth checking out, this has helped us tremendously. Good luck to all. P.S. Today marks one FULL year without pain for me! You can start here: https://try.smoothspine.com/tfbm-coc-adv-sc-2.0
