Roche Africa

What's it worth?

In Africa, 89% of the economic burden of breast cancer impacts women during their primary working years (ages 20–59). Delayed access to care leads to severe productivity losses for individuals, organizations, and national development. Every woman lost to breast cancer raises a critical question for society: What is her tomorrow worth? When we invest in healthcare early, we buy back time for our economies. This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Roche drives the Africa Breast Cancer Ambition (ABCA) to reframe healthcare spending. Together with regional partners, we are transforming healthcare from a short-term cost into a high-return economic investment that safeguards national growth.
