On August 19, 2026, Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), Kubota's Indian subsidiary, held a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off site preparation in Uttar Pradesh. The ceremony followed the signing of a land lease agreement for a planned new plant. EKL will continue to review details of the plant as site preparation moves forward.India is the world’s largest tractor market, with domestic sales exceeding 1 million units and demand expected to keep growing over the medium to long term. EKL plans to increase capacity while continuing production at its existing plant in Haryana. The aim is to meet growing tractor demand, support export expansion, and help grow sales of construction machinery such as cranes and backhoe loaders.Since making Escorts a subsidiary in 2022, Kubota has been working to expand its business in India. The planned capacity increase is part of these ongoing efforts, with #GlobalPartnerships helping advance local production in line with #MakeInIndia.#ForEarthForLife
