Amazon Pays Above Market

Amazon pays above market average. For many management and tech roles, the difference becomes especially visible when you look beyond base salary and consider total compensation — including stock-based compensation. That gap is not accidental. Amazon is investing approximately $200 billion in 2026 across areas including AI infrastructure, robotics and expansion. Operating at that scale means competing aggressively for the talent required to execute it. For professionals considering their next career move, that can create a very different compensation opportunity from what they see inside their current company. But accessing those roles requires more than having the right experience. Amazon uses a highly structured interview process to determine whether that experience translates into the behavioral evidence it looks for when hiring. The opportunity is real. Getting through the interview is the next challenge. We broke down why Amazon pays above the broader market and what candidates need to understand to access those roles here: https://lnkd.in/d77dxpeK
