Climbing approximately 200 places compared with last year, Riga Technical University is the only university in Latvia to have been ranked 801–1000 in the «Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2027», the results of which were announced on 30 September. ⭐️ For many years, reaching this position in a ranking that places significant emphasis on university research performance has been an unattainable threshold for Latvian higher education institutions. This year, RTU has improved its performance and retained its leading position in another major ranking, the «QS World University Rankings 2027», where it ranks 751–760, making RTU the only university in Latvia to rank first nationally in both rankings.
